See for yourself how the Career Development Program is making a difference!
Roy Nelson of Mill Creek, OK, recently earned the Career Readiness Certificate at the Bronze Level. He was presented the $100 check by Rhonda Mize, Academic Enhancement Center Coordinator.

Career Development recently purchased floor installation tools for Kirk Conley of Wagoner, OK.  Pictured with Ken English, Director, Kirk plans to open his own business in the near future.

John Faver, of Quinton, OK, is a recent graduate of Arbuckle Truck Driving School. He began his training August 13th and graduated September 7th. Upon graduation, John was employed by Werner Enterprises. Werner Enterprises starts their employees off at $325/wk for 4 weeks, $350/wk for the next 4 weeks, & .24/mile for the first 3 moths (avg of 3000 miles per week0. Werner also provides their employees with full benefits.

Joyce Gilmore, of Calera, OK, recently graduated as a Certified Nurse's Aide from Kiamichi Technology Center in Durant, OK. The C.N.A. program is directed to prepare the individual for employement in a home health agency or a long-term care facility. After completion of this program, students are prepared to take the state clinical and written examinations. Joyce is currently working at Calera Manor.


Terra Shelton is currently attending Ardmore Massage Therapy Center. She began her schooling in July and will graduate in October as a licensed Massage Therapist. Terra chose massage therapy training because of her interest in reflexology, which is learning about pressure points and how to use them to relieve stress. She also enjoys the idea that she will be able to set her own hours. Her plans are to eventually open up her own business.


The Career Development Program recently supplied James Tom with aircraft mechanic tools. He has been employed by Performance Aircraft Fuel System as an Airplane Mechanic.


Tiffany York received the Career Readiness Certification. Her completion at the gold level earned her a $300 award check. The Career Readiness Certification is a job skill assessment system that measures real world skills that employers believe are critical to success in a job environment. This WorkKeys assessment includes Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information.

Twin sisters, Amber Yandell and Tara Blaylock both received the Career Readiness Certificate at the Silver Level alon with their $200 check.  They are working towards the Health Career Certification at Kiamichi Technology Center in Poteau.  The sisters have plans on entering the LPN Program in the Fall.

Stanley Self, of Hugo, OK, is attending school to become a Home Inspector.  He took an on-line program through Allied Schools to complete this certification.  Career Development probided funding for his school and the tools required to be a Home Inspector.  Stanly also received his Career Readiness Certification at the Silver Level.

Career Development Program provides funding for Choctaws nationwide.  Daniel Scott attended training to become an Electrical Lineman at Northwest Lineman College in Oroville, CA.  He graduated in March 2008.

Jordan Jack graduated April 4, 2008 from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS.  He completed the Railroad Conductor Certification Program and is now employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.
