Our Vision...
The Choctaw Nation Career Development Program provides a comprehensive array of career guidance services, workforce skills development, academic skills enhancement, and financial education that enables members of the Choctaw Nation to obtain recognized certifications needed to enter careers and/or advance existing careers that are self-sustaining and contribute to personal financial security, healthy lifestyles, and the enhancement of the regional, state and national economy.
What services are available?
Career Guidance Services - We offer a variety of services to facilitate student development in the academic, career, and personal / social areas.
Assessment Testing - We offer assessment testing that measures skills that employers believe are critical to job success.
Academic Remediation - We are committed to supporting and strengthening academic skills and offer a variety of learning assistance programs necessary for success in college-level or technical courses.
Financial Assistance - Finacial Assistance for those who qualify.
Are you a member of a federally recognized tribe? Do you reside in Choctaw or Pushmataha county? If yes, then you may qualify for the Native American Career and Technical Education Program. The goal of this program is to provide American Indian Individuals from economically disadvantaged families the Choctaw and Pushmataha Counties funding for training that will result in an industry-recognized credential, certificate, or associate degree. The training areas that are included but not limited to: Automotive Technology, Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, Cosmotology, Health Careers, Information Technologies, Transportation, and Welding.
Career Readiness - Career Readiness Certification are portable credentials that show an individual has certain fundamental skills needed in the workplace.
Employment Services - We offer resume preparation, mock interviews and job search tips.
Please Note - Career Development Services are available to Choctaw Tribal Members nationwide.
